Thousands of protesters march through the streets of Tehran. Iranian citizens took to the streets to protest the results of last week’s presidential election in which President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appeared to win by a wide margin. Supporters of losing candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi charged that the vote was rigged and demanded a new election. With a crackdown on foreign journalists in the country, citizen journalists in Iran have used blogs, Twitter and YouTube to get the world out about the growing unrest there.
